Big Hole/Beaverhead Rivers fly fishing overview
Both the Big Hole and Beaverhead Rivers are permitted rivers (meaning a limited number of guides and outfitters are allotted a particular number of days to fish these waters). Jason holds a special permit for both of these rivers allowing for a very limited number of guide trips to be provided by him.
The Big Hole is an absolutely gorgeous river and is the river that Jason began his guiding career on. A trip to the Big Hole to chase Salmon Flies in June or to throw streamers in the fall is a real treat. If this is something that interests you, we highly recommend booking these days early!
The Beaverhead River is a much smaller river in comparison to the waters that we normally fish, but the size of the fish in the Beaverhead is truly amazing. Jason is allowed just a few guide trips on this gem and like to take these trips when the crowds clear out in mid-September.
